Lamb

Lambs in the Bible. Lambs are very cute, innocent and pure. They are actually baby sheep. God created sheep to help people in many ways, especially to make warm clothing from their wool, and to provide meat and milk. Wealthy people had hundreds and sometimes thousands of sheep. Lambs were used in Bible times to provide a covering for sin. At the first Passover the blood from a lamb was put on the doorpost of every house that wanted to be saved by God. When Jesus came He was called the "Lamb of God" because he was pure and innocent, and He gave His blood to save us by dying on the cross.
