Sheep

Sheep in the Bible. God created sheep for many important reasons that help people today and in the ancient world. Sheep's wool was used to make warm clothing, and sheep were also used to provide meat and milk. Wealthy people had lots and lots of sheep, sometimes thousands in their herd. Sheep are interesting animals, they completely rely on their shepherd for survival. Jesus said, "my sheep hear my voice" and this tells us that God knows who his people are, and his people know who God is. We rely on Jesus, the great Shepherd.
